Airbus A320 Type Rating

Airbus A320 Type Rating Training at the Swiss Airline Training Academy.

EASA

 

A320: On Request (Vilnius, Paris, Milano, Berlin).

ICAO

 

A320: On Request (Johannesburg).

UKCAA

A320: On Request (London)

Requirements for the first type Rating:

 

  • English: at least ICAO Level 4
  • Valid Class 1 medical certificate
  • have at least 70 hours of flight experience as PIC in airplanes; and,
  • hold or have held a multi-engine IR(A); and,
  • have completed the Advanced UPRT course – airplanes, PART-FCL.745.A (certificate of completion by an ATO); and,
  • have passed the ATPL(A) theoretical knowledge examinations under Part-FCL; and,
  • except when the type rating course is combined with an MCC course: hold a certificate of satisfactory completion of an MCC course in airplanes (more optional requirements available);

or -

Be a student pilot currently undergoing training on an MPL training course.

Airbus A320 Type Rating Training

Requirements for pilots who are already holding a type Rating:

 

  • English: at least ICAO Level 4
  • Valid Class 1 medical certificate
  • Hold a valid Commercial Pilot Licence or Airline Transport Pilot Licence and
  • Hold or have held a valid Multi-Pilot Type Rating issued under Part-FCL.
  • If the type rating shall be an unrestricted type rating valid for Pilot in Command, the applicant must be a holder of an Airline Transport Pilot Licence or satisfactorily complete the ATPL skill test under FCL.520.A upon graduation from the course, following the procedures contained herein.

Process:

To complete your Airbus A320 Type Rating Training at the Swiss Airline Training Academy - 

 

  • Use the contact form to send us your request for a rate calculation.
  • 10 days at home for CBT completion.
  • 3 days in a classroom to complete the theoretical knowledge.
  • Written test.
  • Cockpit Procedure Training for 3 days.
  • 8 or 9 sessions in a FFS
  • Skill test (2 hours).
  • ZFTT will be arranged separately.
  • Our ATO will manage all your documentation and the process with your CAA.
