Requirements:

Within the 12 months immediately preceding the date of the application, the pilot shall have completed the following:

1. Pass the assessment of competence in accordance with PART-FCL relevant to the authority concerned;

2. Have completed at least 30 route sectors, including take-offs and landings on the applicable airplane type, of which a maximum of 15 sectors may have been completed in an FFS;

3. Have completed instructor refresher training as a TRI at an ATO which shall cover the relevant elements of the TRI training course.

Note: If the applicant held a certificate for more than one type of aircraft within the same category, the assessment of competence taken on one of those types of aircraft shall renew the TRI certificate for the other types held within the same category of aircraft, unless it is otherwise determined in the OSD.

If Refresher Training is required, the Refresher Training will be held in a classroom or online. We will then issue a certificate of completion. 

An Assessment of Competence will be scheduled in a Full Flight Simulator device (3 hours in an FFS).
